SILVER CRESCENT THIEVES GUILD

The thieves of the silver Crescent are well known in the city of Blackwater. They rule the lower dock areas with extortion and corruption.  Those that have attempted to fight or resist have usually met with some terrible fate or injury.  Some stores have burned or merchandise ends up missing.  The tell tale clue to all these events is a small crescent of silver with a stick pin set in it, the largest thieves’ guild in Blackwater. Many independent thieves have been eliminated to further the control of the guild.  If a guild member meets an unaligned thief, they are asked to join and told of the many benefits.  Those that refuse are reported to Uriah for disposal.

Ranks in the Guild

Footpad – Level: 0-2 Thief trainees meet at the Green Dragon Inn.  Sellanit will evaluate their skills and assign daily tasks.  He takes a 25% cut of all booty.  Thieves at this level are not yet true members.  Their loyalty is still being tested. Higher-level thieves that want to join the guild will start at this level as well, although they will rise through the ranks at a much faster rate if loyal.

Cutpurse – Level: 3-5 Thieves are made official members at third level if all goes well as a footpad.  They are given a tool set and training in the underground complex facilities.  Boarr will train these members.

Thief Member – Level: 6-10 Higher-level members plan thefts in the inner city and are given sections of the city to run, at this level they learn about other secret tunnels and the sewers of the city.  They are also expected to help with expansion.  Dues required at this point are 100gp plus a 40/60 split of all extorted monies.  Those thieves needing training in these higher-level skills will meet in secret with Oak at specified times.  Oak is very cautious.

Master Thief – Level: 11+ These thieves are either sent out on dangerous missions if they are greedy for Oaks throne, or are assigned time-consuming tasks in the city.  Oak will have Uriah put a tail on them and watch their every move.
