TOTEMS OF VERITH

At the end of the First Age, when Iccendria and her followers had failed at their attempt to usurp power from Illitharn the backlash ripped the old high magic from the very folds of space itself.  This magic manifested itself into jagged crystalline shards, metallic mantles, and elemental cores. The totems are near indestructible, taking ancient magic’s and powerful relics to shatter them and release the energy back into the essence of the celestial sphere. 

 

As they manifested into material objects they fell to the surface of Verith.  Some plunged deep into the Cendrum depths, others crashed into the surface and created craters, canyons, deserts, or other defects in the land, while some float above the ground radiating their influence in inhibited.  Their effects can range as far as 100 miles or more or be touch.

 

SHARDS (-)
 

The shard energy is the expression of negative and evil energy and the crystalline colors of the shards come in a range of colors: opaque white, blue, red, black, and green.  The effects that these shards manifest express themselves in different ways; each one unique to itself.
