GEOGRAPHY OF VERITH

The mountains are the lifeblood of Verith and its development.  With the dwarves being the first inhabitants of Verith, given the duty of caretakers, they have nurtured the great Spine of the World over the last several thousand years, building great halls, trails and tunnels.  During which nature, wars and magic have wrecked havoc and wonder upon the majestic peaks of the various sections of the Spine.  Although they are almost one solid chain as seen from the sky above, the various regions are named by the local populace.

The Gift of Midra, the forests support life and hide many secrets on Verith.  They have played an important role in the development of the Verith over the eons.  The Welsunne, being the third race of beings on Verith. (Although they consider themselves the second, some even the first.)  Nevertheless, the forests have always been their sanctuary, livelihood, and the center of their belief and culture.  At their original inception, all the lands were covered with trees; however over the centuries, both immortals and men have helped to make this a legend.
