The Primal Wyrmking:                

 

Immortal Name: Illitharn 

Immortal Class: 5

Immortal Influence: Balance

Holy Symbol: Golden Dragon

Holy Month: Ardor

Priestly Garb: The priests of Illitharn wear blue robes and a red belt.  Neckwear is forbidden, as is all jewelry and marking of the flesh.

Priestly Influence: The priests of Illitharn are always striving to keep the world in balance.  Life and death must stay equal or this balance will fall into ruin.  They watch the world to assure that if many lives are taken, many are healed.  They are always sending out pilgrims to set up new shrines in various places. Illitharn is one of the firstborn of Bahamut. The high temple on Verith is located in the Greyclaw Mountains in Atros, on the edge of the Guardian Lake. 

 

 

The Immortal Host

 

The loyal Wyrmkings to Illitharn blessed with returned powers; represent goodness, light, honor, justice and hope for the future.  They inhabit the Upper realms of the celestial sphere, each ruling one of the primal moons.  They are forbidden to venture directly on the surface of Verith; instead their influence is spread through their followers.

 

 

Immortal Name: Belorn

 

Immortal Class: 4

Immortal Influence:  Justice, Honor, Good, Light                                                      

Holy Symbol: Brass Dragon

Holy Month: Jaran

Priestly Garb: The Priest must wear a brass circlet with scales of fire on their left wrist and robes woven with brass string in the weave. The various sects design will vary.

Priestly Influence: The priests of Belorn are honest and forthright.  They represent all that is good and just.  Belorn has given them the scales of justice as well as the light in the sky to rid the world of evil.  His priests represent all these values.  His priests teach the followers about good and honesty, the decent things in life.  The finest of these priests that show the most promise are selected for the Order of the Sun. They are the trainers of the Holy order and its warriors. The Paladins of the Order of the Sun protect the holy lands of Caer Allwyn. The new recruits often venture out to spread justice and the light of Belorn.  The Temple of Belorn is a round complex set inside a moat and protective wall.  It is gilded in gold and platinum with a floor of polished brass.  The star of Belorn sits atop the statue in the main temple building.  Many pilgrims venture here to gain the aid of the sun giver.  The high priests never leaves the complex unless they are at the Temple of the Sun, a somewhat mythical place.

Immortal Name: Jastian

 

Immortal Class: 4

Immortal Influence: Law, Honor, Good, Dwarves

Holy Symbol: Silver Dragon

Holy Month: Castra

Priestly Garb: Armor or robes with silver hems or burnishing.  Items of Black Steel are all considered Holy and revered.

Priestly Influence: The creator of the Jastum the first creatures to walk the lands of Verith.  It was at this time the First World was forged.  Jastian also created the mountains, gems and minerals, a gift to the Jastum, called dwarves in the tongues of man.  The priests of Jastian are mainly dwarves although many fighters follow Jastian for his great strength attributes.  The priests offer guidance, and marry other followers, as well as travel the lands displaying the great strength that was given them by Jastian.  Many of the warriors use a great Toran Battleaxe, maces, or Mastic war hammers.  Swords are rarely used by his followers.  They wear all types of armor with the high-ranking officials receiving armor from the fallen moon blessed by Jastian himself.  The priest of Jastian must never back down from a challenge of strength or honor. The high temple of Jastian lies deep in the heart of the Ak-tor Mountains.  A high white mountain formed of marble and other ores.  The entire mountain a building built over 5000 years.  It stretches deep into the earth down past the first world to the underbelly.

 

 

Immortal Name: Midra

 

Immortal Class: 4

Immortal Influence: Nature, Animals, Harvest, Hope

Holy Symbol: Copper Dragon

Holy Month: Sarna

Priestly Garb: Totem animal tattoo, robes of copper, and non metal armor.

Priestly Influence: The Priests of Midra worship her for the gifts she has given to the world, the animals and the forests.  She is the supplier of wood for homes, deer for meat and the plants in the garden for food.  She brings in the harvest and protects the farmer from the dark.  Her followers are Elves, Eladrin and those that love the woods.  The priests counsel on guidance and on forest management, and act as protectors of the forest from those that would destroy it.  The druids are a special group that serve Midra in secret ways known only to her.  Each priest must choose a totem animal as their own to protect, this animal is also the way in which Midra communicates with her disciples.  The high Temple of Midra is located deep in the Moonwood.  A sacred grove of Oak trees surrounds seven standing stones of petrified wood.  In the center grows clover and mistletoe.  A small spring keeps a sparkling pool full of water year round.  Druids and treants protect this spot from desecration. All the holy ceremonies of Midra and her higher priests occur here.  Transfer of rights from high priest to high priest and the rites of the grand druid.  Evil cannot come within 1000 feet of this holy place. Her priests use swords or warhammers and sickles.

Immortal Name: Assune

 

Immortal Class: 4

Immortal Influence: Good, Water, Elves        

Holy Symbol: Bronze Dragon

Holy Month: Tobin

Priestly Garb: A bronze totem, robes made of natural material.

Priestly Influence: The creator of the Elves.  Woodsman pay respect to Assune as do all elves and friends of the elves.  Her priests wear all natural clothing and shy away from metal armaments.  The same goes for their weapons.  Halflings, gnomes and thieves pay her respect as well especially when they need to get out of mischief. Assune does not have a main temple.  Shrines to here can be found in any forest or woods, and in homes and caves.  She prefers the openness of the outdoors to a closed in building.  Her priests roam the world protecting the woods and the elves.

Immortal Name: Astra

 

Immortal Class: 2

Immortal Influence: Stars, Moonlight, Comets

Holy Symbol: Moon Dragon

Holy Month: Pelorn

Priestly Garb: Grey robes with stars sewn into the cloth, a staff with a star shaped tip.

Priestly Influence: Very few creatures follow Astra as he is a secretive and solitary wyrmking.  He keeps to himself on the phlogistan side of the Fire Moon.  His followers are neutral.

 

The Cendrum Host

Those Wyrmkings that revolted against Illitharn’s rule were stripped of their greater immortal magics and cast into the shadows and darkness below the horizon of Verith where the light of Belorn does not shine.  There they colluded to retake the high places and vowed to destroy the Immortal Host and Illitharn no matter the cost.  After the War of Hosts and the fall of the fifth primal moon “Melanbendoor”, Illitharn encased the rebellious wyrms in the very remains of Verith their lust for power had created.  Each mantle satellite has taken on the aspects of their host and is the base for their influence among the follows of the Cendrum.  Only Iccendria was spared this fate although she can never leave the rotten ground of Ascar. In the quest for power Iccendria gave up her traditional form and is now an immortal White Dracolich.

Immortal Influence: Cendrum, Darkness, Evil, Cold, Ice

Holy Symbol: White Dragon

Holy Month: Savan

Priestly Garb: Her priests wear black robes with mottled face cloths. All her priests must bind with a poison creature as they advance in rank.  The priests use poison bows, scythes and scourge. Assassination and deceit are valued skills. 

Priestly Influence: The priests of Iccendria are a vile and evil lot. They are always plotting how to destroy the other races of Verith.  Using the corrupt powers of necromancy and darkness they seek to remove all light from the land. To die destroying others is the end all of the priestly order.  No human, elf, or dwarf has ever seen the dark towers of the Pit. The Lord Templers are always sending out priests to spread disease and ignorance over the face of the world. The Dark Towers, as they are called by the followers of the Ice Queen, are located in the center of the Rainbow Glacier close to the Ogres Back.  A great steaming vent descends deep into Verith all the way through to the empty vastness of the lower reaches; breeding grounds for the armies of the Cendrum.  Only the bravest of her followers venture to this level as many of the Cendrum beast do not care who or what they feed on. The priests of Iccendria despise all others and it is forbidden to associate with any of the other religious sects of the other immortals.

 

Immortal Name: Amra

 

Immortal Class: 4

Immortal Influence: Magic, Mysteries, Lightning

Holy Symbol: Blue Dragon   

Holy Month: Borass

Priestly Garb: They are to remain in the background shrouded in mystery and secrecy.   They must wear no armor and only the smallest of weapons, those easily hidden may be used. They wear brightly colored robes of varying hue and design during formal ceremonies.

Priestly Influence: The priests of Amra abound in mysteries. Magic is their following and Amra has blessed them with exceptional powers.  When Amra gave the gift of fire to all the creatures of Verith, the mystery of its origin began a great puzzle.   To this day the priests seek to find out the answers to the great puzzle. Amra requires his priests to abstain from all forms of bragging and ego building.     The duties of Amra’s priest include the joining of two souls in marriage through the ritual of the stone; they guide the followers in the ways of magic.  Many of her shrines are found along ley lines and in places of great magical influence.  The third function of the priests is spreading the knowledge of magic.  They often take small children to sponsor in the various schools of magic throughout the lands.  The priests work closely with magic users and sorcerers as the powers that use magic need Amra’s blessing.  The shrines often aid adventures by identifying objects of enchanting items of value. The high temple of Amra is located in the Pass of Evil Eyes in the Churl peaks hidden in the maze of valleys and crevasses.  Hidden by mystery over the ages this temple has very little known about it.  The priests of Amra often seek to find this high temple in search of the Eye of Amra, which is said to hold all the answers to the secrets of the universe.  It is also said that the temple is a gateway to all the worlds and plains that exist and the possessor of the eye can control this power.

Immortal Name: Cerion

 

Immortal Class: 3

Immortal Influence: Darkness, Shadows, Poison

Holy Symbol: Red Dragon

Holy Month: Werdor

Priestly Garb: The priests wear black or grey robes and are usually surrounded by smoke or fog to protect them from clear site.

Priestly Influence: Cerion is the immortal of guile and deceit. His priests reflect these traits and are known to always have plans within plans.  They are never to be trusted even among themselves; always seeking power and revenge.  Cerion emulates many of his mother’s characteristics, but never truly lives up to them.  He is always trying to prove himself and expects the same of his priests.  They can never give enough or try hard enough yet they keep trying.  Rituals are secretive and take place in dark places deep in the woods or in a lonely cave or perhaps the bowels of the city sewers.  Sacrifice is a key method of worship and this sect is outlawed in many civilized cities, yet there are usually a few followers where one least expects it.  The priests are all gifted with the power of red lightning bolts of varying power.

Immortal Name: Parazyphon

 

Immortal Class: 3

Immortal Influence: Death, War, Evil

Holy Symbol: Black Dragon

Holy Month: Maytrss

Priestly Garb: Grey and black robes with a large cowled hood.  They tend to use scythe for ceremonial functions.  Bones are used for holy objects.

Priestly Influence:  As the manifestation of death on Verith Parazyphon is revered out of fear.  The role of the priest may be to bury the dead, or perhaps in the dark on night to raise them up as servants of night.  War is also celebrated as if is a major source of death.  Priests are often involved in plots to start wars and thus increase death.  They see themselves as all important as everyone must face death there is no escape.

 

Immortal Name: Vesterix

 

Immortal Class: 2

Immortal Influence: Evil, Poison, Darkness

Holy Symbol: Green Dragon

Holy Month: Gilthan

Priestly Garb: A ghastly green robe with hooded cowl, and some form of poisoned blade.

Priestly Influence: Vile and treacherous, Vesterix is the daughter of catastrophe.  Her priests thrive on chaotic destruction and the misfortune of others.  They are self seeking and only care to advance the message of Vesterix.  Many of them are assassins, thieves, and all practice the use of poisons.  The world at large despises the priests and followers of Vesterix as they have no ounce of good in them and only seek to destroy others and eventually themselves.
