MILITARY SERVICE IN BLACKWATER-PORT
All males must join the Dorovar military starting at age 16 for a minimum of two years in service to the Empire. Those males that wish to avoid the military have but two options. Pay the weregeld tax of 500gp, or flee the Empire as a traitor.
The first 3-12 weeks in the military consist of Basic Training. The new recruit is beat into an efficient fighting machine. The use of polearms, crossbows, short swords and hand-to-hand combat are practiced repeatedly until proficiency is achieved. The recruits are tested in endurance, running and Wilderness Survival skills.
The recruit has sworn an oath to the Empire, to defend it from within and without. To put ones life as forfeit to the Emperor, in any manner he sees fir. It is a matter of dying in honor for Empire or dying in failure.
PAY SCALE:
4sp week fro construction duty
4sp week for garrison duty
8sp week for infantry duty
2gp week for patrol duty
2pp week for scouting duty
5pp week for raiding party
Officers receive +10% cumulative bonuses per advancement up to 50% of the booty. Centurions receive special assignments.

Who the warrior fights with or spies on is totally up to the DM. It will usually depend on which Legion the Player is in and stationed. For instance: If a Lv. 1 Legionnaire is posted to the Serpent Legion he will serve in the navy and could garrison the Base in Blackwater or Patrol the Ganz Flow for Privateers. Whereas a Legionnaire posted to the Kadeez Legion would most likely be involved somehow with the invaders from the Borderlands of Zurish.
