BLACKFIST MARINES

The marines of Blackfist wear a black helm of brass and a black facemask.

They carry a standard whip grapple and a scimitar.  The ranks of the marine are clearly marked upon their shield.  The military is based on a legion of roughly 1800-2000 men.

The Dromar is made up of 10 soldiers; their shields are black with no markings.  These soldiers are the raw slave recruits captured in battle.  They usually have very basic skills if any. They hold no rank until they survive battle.

The Famaran is a lv. 2 soldier. They generally lead a group of 10 men (Dromar) their shield is marked with a single red spot. (11 total warriors)

The Pentaran is a lv. 5 soldier.  They will command a group of 50 men (Pentar) or five squads of Dromar.  Their shields are marked with two red spots. (56 total warriors)

The Blackfists are lv. 10 elite warriors who lead each legion.  They have a red shield with a black fist upon it.  They command two hands, the left and the right.  Two hands make up a legion of the Blackfist.  (1132 total warriors)

There are additionally 30% more men in each group; they make up the cooks, the physicians, and the sundry personnel that do not fight.

The Army of the Blackfist is composed of five legions; the Grand Fist leads the entire army and is second to the High Protector.

Wyvern ships are mainstay in the Blackfist armada.  They not only sail in the seas, but can maintain flight during the daylight hours. They are captained by Wizards who fly the ships.

WYVERN SHIPS

Name                           Size                 Crew               Captain                        Contingent

Spike (scout)               20x60              5(lv1)               1(lv5)                           1 Famar

Hammer (troop)          30x100            10 (lv1)            1(lv7)                           1 Centar

Wyvern (war)              70x220            50(lv1)             1(lv9)                           1Hand +siege

The Blackfist is making plans for further expansion.  They are planning on taking Drazillia, the coastal jungles of Neranvel and the lands of the living throne.  First they will send scouts then establish base camps and start making raids and expand their influence.  They see the resistance in Hornhold as a minor nuisance.  The riches of the living throne will increase the Blackfist power so the risks are worth it.  Little do they realize that the Wyrmhold is real.  The High Protector thinks that his Wyvern ships could easily best any mere dragon.

The Rebellion

The rebellion is unorganized at best.  The rebellion leaders have met a few times and have united the forces in name and color.  The forces wear a red sash that covers their eyes, some wear red cloaks, and others have red boots and gloves.  Due to funding issues others go without.  The Leaders wear the entire garb and actively recruit in their homelands.

LEADERS – The red Brigade “Freedom”

Country           Race                Class                Level               Band

Ak-Tor             Mtn Dwarf       ft/cl                  4/4                   40 dwarven warriors

Erenson          Grey Elf            wi/cl                4/3                   30 elven archers

Human            Drazillia           Ranger             4                      40 men at arms

Centaur           HighHorn        Paladin             7                      15 cavalier/lancers

Human            Gaul                Enchanter         8                      40 peasant fighters

Human            Buspardia       Warrior             7                      50 sailor/smugglers

Human            Yalarum          Thief                 5                       5 smugglers

These groups make night raids, small raids for supplies and random scouting for the higher ups.  At best they are just a gnat buzzing around the beast.  The little they do keeps them alive, but it has not really slowed the expansion of the Blackfist.

Their camps move constantly to avoid detection.  The rebels from the Living Throne work the northern coastline as Blackfist raiders have started to cross the Abyssal Sea and attack parts of the The great Wyrmhold.

In Gaul, Trazzan's Inner Circle of apprentice wizards help to keep the freehold in a state of operation.  The Blackfist have yet to sige the region although they do send dromar raids to test for weak spots in the area.
